Why Vigilante?

In the decades before Montana was a state, law enforcement in what was then the remote eastern Idaho Territory was handled by vigilantes in the absence of strong territorial law enforcement and courts.

While vigilantism has a reputation for comprising lawlessness, in many ways the act of citizens taking the law into their own hands was pivotal to the development of the United States and defined the early law enforcement responsibility of Montana. To this day, the Montana Highway Patrol uses the “3-7-77” symbol to represent the Montana Vigilantes – the earliest organized law enforcement in Montana.

At KHDN 1230AM Vigilante Radio, our goal is to take responsibility for the truth and for challenging the mainstream media narrative. We empower Montana citizens to take the truth into their own hands, use their freedom of speech, and take responsibility for the direction of their communities.
